This is term used to describe group of branches connected each other well and the customer can do transaction any of the branch. Core banking solution is provided by most of the banks in India. For example if you have an account with ICICI, You can go to any branch of ICICI to withdraw your money. Basically the information is stored in a central database and the transaction is updated in the central location. Many IT companies in India are providing the core banking solution to the banks. TCS, Oracle, Infosys have their own solution for core banking.
